Fletch
I've owned a copy of GFA Basic 3.5 for decades and honestly never did anything with it. On a whim last night I decided to give it a go and wrote a couple of very simple programs. What I could not figure out is the process to compile a program. I loaded the MENU program on the compiler disk and chose COMPILE. After a second or two it seemed to finish, but I had no option to save the compiled program. What am I missing? Thanks! -Pete
danwinslow
IIRC, it just compiles it to disk. Did you check for the presence of any new executable? Its been a long time, though I may be mis-remembering.
+Gemintronic
Seems like a good site for GFA Basic help: http://userpages.bright.net/~gfabasic/ Also, you could break down and use the Windows version http://gfabasic32.blogspot.com/

ggn
My usual ritual is: hit F2 (menu item "PRG=GFA" or something similar), select file, compile, link, done.

lp060
Normally if your source file is named something like blabla.gfa, you should find blabla.prg in the same directory if all goes well.
Fletch
Ok! Turns out I had to have the .GFA file in the folder with the MENU.PRG for whatever reason. If its anywhere else it doesn't save to the disk. Worked like a champ from that folder though. Not sure if that is normal behavior or not, but seems so here. Thanks for the help! -Pete
