I opened it up and bent the pins back and cleaned the contacts and still, blue screen. The screen doesn't flash nor does the power button. Rex Dart
Disable lockout chip? Maybe it's the cart, tried more than one? Edited September 23, 2014 by Rex Dart
mehguy
Disable lockout chip? Maybe it's the cart, tried more than one? I already tried disabling it. it didn't work. I borrowed a copy of mario bros from a friend and his cart was working fine (the last time i saw it boot up on his nes)
Rex Dart
Alright, sounds like the only thing left to try is juju. You'll need a pigeon, your gris-gris bag, a tri-wing screwdriver, and a lock of Miyamoto's hair. edit: and a copy of T&C Surf Designs. Always forget that one... TPA5
Sometimes if the 72-pin connector is bad enough, even bending the pins and cleaning it may not be enough. Check the power supply as well, a friend of mine ended up replacing the power supply on his NES and that solved his flashing screen problem.
