dphirschler
As I continue to go through some old TI pamphlets and catalogs, I've discovered a game that I did not know existed. Here is how is listed in the catalog. Battlestar Galactica (speech) Wage war against the computer or an opponent as you pilot your Viper fighters and Battlestars through 3 dimensional space. This will be the first Cartridge to provide combat between two 99/4A's. ARCADE style. TI 99/4A only. Speech Synthesizer optional. Cartridge. Did this game ever come out? I can't remember ever seeing it. There is no photo or screen shot. It's a Bill Cosby catalog from 1983. +save2600
Sounds awesome - too bad it was never released! May have turned into another game, not finished or even started?
Iwantgames:)
I love Battlestar Galactica, wish this had been released :'(
Gary from OPA
Battlestar Galactica 83 TI PHM 3124 0 [ ][ ][ ] Source: http://www.videogamehouse.net/rarity.txt With Rarity of ZERO which means: Titles listed with a rarity of zero are simply games that were never released or require more research on our side. It is also listed here as one of 'not existing' games: http://fabrice.montupet.pagesperso-orange.fr/ti99carts/vaporware.htm There was discussion of it back in 2011 here on AtariAge And again back in 2005 in the TI99 yahoo group. But no one was able to track down even a prototype of it.
+Ksarul
That catalog entry was the only real evidence that the cartridge was planned--and it only showed up in that one iteration of the catalog. If I remember correctly, it was one of the small catalogs inclded with some of the cartridges. As the only cartridge I ever saw with the catalog in it was Superfly, I suspect it was in the pipeline at the time TI pulled out, but not far enough along to actually find working code for it now. Another title that was far enough along that it was actually demonstrated at the Summer 1983 CES has also never surfaced: Choplifter! That one was on prototype cartridges for the CES, IIRC.
