Ti-99/4a PEB Expansion Cards

Recommended Posts

I have the below cards, multiples of each.

I tested them when they came in a few months back and they all worked, but I offer no guarantees or warranty as I have not put them in a PEB to test.

Sold AS IS and UNTESTED since I have not tested them in a while.

TI Floppy Disk Controller

TI Flex Cable Interface

TI 32kx8 Memory Expansion Card

TI Rs232 Card

I will take $35.00 + shipping per card. Priority mail flat rate which includes bubble wrapped, tracking and insurance will be around $15.00 in the US.

will only ship to the US.

Since I have multiple cards the one pictured may not be the one you receive but they are all of the same brand and model.

Well it's now over 2 months since the original post (damnit!) so I'm sure dey all be history by now, but what are the chances that you still have an RS232 card left...

I keep bididng on them on ebay every time one becomes available, but the same guy keeps driving up the price beyond reason...(collectors butting heads with hobbyist once again)

Will pay your $35 US + shipping, (AND offer my first born male child if necessary - warning... he's 38 years old now and may not go willingly).

A cross Serial cable Xcom connection is the only way I can think of to get all my TIDisks off my PC and onto my 99/4a, so I desperately need an RS232 card...

Let me know if I'm too late (at least this post is only a couple months old...usually the one's I find are a few years old)

What you need is a nanoPEB or CF7...a much better solution for your file transfer woes. All you need is a PC with an SD card reader and you're good to go...plus, no running to electronics surplus stores to try and find 5 1/4" SD floppies anymore!

Keep the PEB for when you need/want a real floppy (it also makes a great monitor stand and looks sexy as hell), but use nanoPEB for all those disk based proggies you've been using an emulator to access. The greatest invention since indoor plumbing and cheaper than you'd pay for an RS232C card! (sold through ebay, a new lot is being made available this week!)

And yes, I know the guy you're talking about....he just stole an RS232C out from under me by raising my fair bid ($50) to $82 in the last minute of the auction.

Would you need to buy a CF Card reader for your laptop to transfer files from laptop to NanoPeb?

Yes. Also there is utilities that are downloaded and used on the PC to copy files back and forth. It does not use the standard PC file utilities like Windows explorer.

See the below link to learn more on the NanoPEB and CF7+
