SIO, OSX, FTDI help

I'm trying to get OSX 10.9 (mavericks) to recognize the SIO2PC/10502PC Dual device. The kext file is present, but not loaded after boot. I can load it. However I cannot seem to get OSX to create the /dev/tty.usbserial so the AspeQt, SIO2OSX, or SIOServer programs can use it. If I look in System Profiler I see the device on one of the USB ports.

Whats the trick to getting OSX to see the device correctly?

I installed the drivers from FTDI:

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP/MacOSX/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_18.dmg

And the device I end up with is /dev/tty.usbserial-A40082ol instead of /dev/tty.usbserial

Just do a quick "ls /dev/tty.usb*" from terminal to make sure it's there. I also have a tty.serial1 because my Hackintosh actually has a supported serial port.

Thx, I looked at the docs, and they were not exactly clear to me. The start says nothing about 10.9 compatability, but then there is a section for it, in which they say the driver ships from Apple (which I read doesn't work right). I'll go through the motions tonight and hopefully won't much my system up. :D

I did what Kevin did and all the SIO emulator programs work.

I've tested this on 10.6.8 through 10.9.4. The driver works great in Mavericks. Apparently it's 64-bit clean.

"FTDIUSBSerialDriver_10_4_10_5_10_6_10_7" is the install package you want to run on that DMG. Don't run the one for Panther. LOL

I used that. The 32 and 64 bit download links hit the same download on their site. I got it working and booted my 130 with the SIO2PC/10502PC 3 dual adapter.

Thx for the help.
