Tempest
While digging through a box in my basement today I came across my old Magic cards. Unfortunately I had traded most of the rare ones many years ago (for an arcade machine of all things), but I still have some fairly rare cards. I took a quick look on ebay and was amazed at what some of these go for now (if only I had held onto my Moxes and Time Walk). As most of you know, I detest selling on ebay so I'd much rather sell them here. I'm not sure if anyone on AA still plays or not, but I thought I'd give people here a shot at them before I brave ebay. Here's what I have. All of these are in really nice condition and Revised edition unless noted (none of the Collectors edition nonsense): Dual Lands --------------- 4 x Tropical Island 4 x Bayou (2 are Italian and one of the Italian ones has a black border) 4 x Taiga 3 x Underground Sea (1 is German) 4 x Savannah (1 is Italian) 2 x Tundra (1 is German) Scrub Land (Italian with black border) Badlands Word of Command (Beta) Time Vault Candelabra of Tawnos Gauntlet of Might (Beta) Berserk (Beta) PM me your prices if interested. I'm not 100% sure what these go for now, but I've been using the average ebay price as a guide. I'll try and get some pictures up tomorrow. I'm not looking for trades at this time. Shawn
Those duals are gonna net you some nice cash on ebay. Blue duals have quintupled in price in the last couple years especially blue ones. The FBB duals have a heavy premium on them now also. Time Vault has been re-restricted and is a totally broken card so it's value is in the multiple hundreds now too. If I was you Matt I'd just jump right to ebay with them so you can reach the full MTG market and get the price you deserve for these. Tempest
I'm afraid to use eBay honestly. I'm afraid of getting ripped off. I guess I really have no choice though.
SoulBlazer
I'm afraid to use eBay honestly. I'm afraid of getting ripped off. I guess I really have no choice though. If you're that concerned, Tempest -- and I don't blame you, since EBay favors the buyer so much right now -- I'd suggest doing one of these things: 1) Is there a good gaming store in your area? You could perhaps either sell them the cards or ask them to put them up for sale for a price and you give them a cut. 2) Try Craiglist, where you can do a cash for hand over sale. 3) Ask a friend or a trusted person to act as a 'third party' for you -- you list the cards on EBay, the seller pays the third person, the third person confirms the money is valid and good and then you ship the cards and the third person sends you the money. I have a good friend who still plays Magic today -- I'll ask her for some advise next time I see her online. Shawn
themanadrain.com used to be a spot I went to to sell cards. They are a very honest group for the most part. I have a guy that used to buy all my extras. I'll see if he's still into flipping cards. He'll give you a great price vs other "re-seller" types as he charges a premium as he's a go to guy that people are willing to pay more from versus less from other less known sellers. Tempest
I can look into that. I guess the big thing I need to do is figure out what I can do to protect myself from scammers. The two big scams I've heard of are: 1. People claim that the item they received wasn't the same one as pictured, get a paypal refund, then send back a different item 2. People claim they never got the item and get a paypal refund, even with tracking

Not only are they criminals, but they allow other criminals to take advantage of you.

Shawn
I thought you had to use paypal with eBay? You do but you can try asking for a MO but if the ebay police or some bitch ass snitch sees your auction it will get removed.
Tempest
Well everyone on eBay can't be crooked or no one would ever sell there. I guess I'll take my chances.

I think you will find that is a good choice. You will make out like a bandit on those underground sea's and tropical islands for sure. That Time Vault is set to make you a merry Xmas too. Gauntlet's and WOC have gone down a lot but the rest have gone WAY up.
icemanxp300
I have a small amount of cards back from ice age when this game first started. Wonder if they have any value. sorry for the thread hijack lol. just looked them up quick ebay search and the only one I have that has value is sylvan library. Not sure what edition it is but its 1995 with a white border. It has a circle with a 1 in it? It also has a circle with a tree in it. Tempest
I actually have TONS of cards from Revised onwards, but I have no idea where they went. The only cards I have access are the ones that were in my playing decks. I'm sure there are some other good ones in there, but I figured I'd start with the ones I knew were worth money. Has Gauntlet of Might gone down that much? Maybe since mine is a minty Beta version it will still go for something decent. Word of Command was always just a fun card, even at its peak it wasn't worth more than $80 or so.
Tempest
Cards are going up on ebay Sunday.

The gauntlet still goes for ok money. be careful on listing it as minty though as most people would put that at around ex to ex+ on a scale of poor, good, vg,ex,nm, mint. You can thank grading companies for that bullshit.
Tempest
I'm not going to list condition, I'm just going to refer people to the pictures. I don't know what constitutes Mint vs EX vs VG etc. Let them figure that out.

It was\is like being able to play a full game of D&D in a few minutes (or hours depending) instead of a few months
