Special Teams
For some reason the sound on my Colecovision cuts out after being turned on. I've tried using the cables from other consoles and it still has the problem. Right after the sound cuts out, the TV gives me an error message "No Signal" (message stays on the screen as long as the sound is off). The video is not affected and it does this on all games I've tried. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks in advance for any advice. digress
you need a rf modulator or hook it up through a vcr. The no signal suggests this to me. The 1 cable carries the sound and video but its meant for a 30 year old tv. ideally get one of these: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Atari-2600-TV-RF-adapter-adaptor-COLECOVISION-INTELLIVISION-NES-/141478172860?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20f0c198bc

I tried the Colecovision the same way and it has the sound issue. The sound comes on for a couple of seconds and then cuts out. I'll try the RF Modulator if you think that's the problem, thanks. digress
It still sounds like the same thing. like sometimes you can get a grey image on channel 4 even though you are set to channel 3 for rf output. So it's like the signal is not quite right to produce the sound. Try hooking it up though a vcr so at least the vcr is sending a strong signal to prevent the tv from complaining and the fiddle with the rf box to get a descent input. But the ebay piece drastically improves the video and sound quality and can hook directly to the coax of the tv.
