DonPedro
A word of warning: it seems that for some reason you can't enter your initials (and score) in highscore table with Allow Continue dipswitch turned off. So either be quick when taking a screenshot or just leave it turned on, just don't use continues. I hope you all enjoy Pollux. It's sometimes interesting to play a no name shmup for a change, instead of usual Raidens and Gradiuses. Not many original ideas here, apart from the black hole and autofire power up, but it's pretty good imo. My initial score: 433,

Cynicaster
Gave this one a boot yesterday evening. Seemed pretty generic-shooter-ish at first, but it's actually pretty fun. For some reason, it feels like a Sega Genesis game to me. 1,196,
+DrVenkman
I'll have to give this one some more time. I never played it before tonight - I was already out of college before this one hit the arcades. I agree whomever said it above - it reminds me a lot of a Genesis game. 112,

I never played it before tonight - I was already out of college before this one hit the arcades. I agree whomever said it above - it reminds me a lot of a Genesis game. Pollux was made by infamous Korean developer Dooyong (though I like some of their games, such as Flying Tiger and Blue Hawk, with Pollux being perhaps their best work) and I don't think it was ever available outside of Korean and Japanese arcades. AFAIK none of Dooyong's games were ever ported to home systems. But yeah, they play more or less like 16-bit ports of early Toaplan games.

DonPedro
Pollux - It sounds like the name of a horrible skin disease or something... I think it was named after a star, which in turn was named after a character from mythical beginnings of ancient Rome. I actually studied history, but didn't make the connection to Castor & Pollux, had to check it on wikipedia New personal best: 2,070,
