aslouisville
I have a 2600 that when I connect to the TV, the screen goes black. Power cord works and a brand new cable. I have cleaned the contacts where the game is inserted. Any suggestions? I am not computer savy
toiletunes
Is it a newer (flat panel) tv? The 2600 signal strength isn't powerful enough for some (most?) newer tvs.
aslouisville
Yes it's a newer tv

Jinroh
Do you have an RF Adapter box with the switch on it? I had the same problem once, on my CRT TV and was like, "Why isn't the VCS turning on?!!" Then I remembered I had the RF Adapter box set to "TV" rather than "Game".
