pcuser4
Karin Maxi 3.5 drive can increase the capacity to 980K, 24 sectors per track. How do I do that?
Sikor
For example: use MyDOS and set property drive settings in it.
+Larry
For example: use MyDOS and set property drive settings in it. Can you be more specific -- how would you do that? AFAIK, MyDos only has format options for 18 sectors/tracks (or 26 for ED). If you tell MyDos that it is a High Capacity drive, you can only tell it the total number of sectors. Perhaps Karin Maxi has a stand-alone formatter? I have a Karin Maxi, but don't use it since it is incompatible with the hundreds of XF-formatted disks that I already have -- (sectors 1-1440 on front then 1441-2880 on back, rather than alternating front, back, front, back, etc. on the Maxi). -Larry
Sikor
In MyDOS: O=>1(if KM is drive #1)=>N=>Y=>Y=>size_in_sectors You configure drive as HD for Atari, it is no problem for driver. On jumpers you must set property parameters for drive (for example - step rate - use Karin Maxi manual).
