+nanochess
Hi. I've got two copies of Pitstop CIB. Both boxes are the same, one contains a Imagic-style shell and other contains a Coleco-style shell. But what triggered my interest is the different manual. So I decided to share this picture. The PITSTOP letters are filled with blue in one copy and the letters "Instruction manual" are added. I suspect these come as original, so the Imagic-style shell contains the hollow PITSTOP, and the Coleco-style the filled PITSTOP with "Instruction manual" text. Enjoy it!
NIAD
Great job noticing that manual variation, Nanochess! This is simply guess work on my part, but I would say the instruction manual on the right (with the unfilled Pitstop lettering) would have been the first one produced and then it was updated to the version on the left. Are there any revision numbers, dates, etc. printed somewhere in the manual to see if we can figure this out? Never mind. I just checked the four CIBs (too many variations on this one) that I have of Pitstop and noticed that I have 2 versions of each of the manuals pictured and they are both listed on the back as "Part No. 60". Thanks and I'll add this to the Collectors List in the notes for manual revisions. So the variations are: 2-piece box "For Coleco" 2-piece box "For ColecoVision and ADAM" 1-piece box "For ColecoVision and ADAM" Imagic cart shell and label reads "For Coleco" Coleco-ish cart shell and label reads "For Coleco" Coleco-ish cart shell and label reads "For ColecoVision and ADAM" Manual with hollow Pitstop Manual with filled Pitstop

And when Epyx sold out Imagic-shells they start using Coleco shells, so the filled Pitstop is the more recent and also added the subtitle "Instruction manual" Never mind. And indeed I've the loose cartridge with the "For Colecovision and ADAM" label, so I've all three!!!!
