Tezz
Guys what's the method for switching the OS on and off with an OS B machine? I rarely touch the OS but I can't remember the info regarding portb rather than the XL/XE OS #$fe / #$ff writes. I need to switch off the os rom to have a custom nmi at certain times. thanks. Bryan
OS B? You mean a 400/800? The ability to switch off ROM was added in the 1200XL.
Tezz
Yea for the 400/800. So there's no way to switch off the OS ROM?

Well, and if it would be there, you'd only find emptiness instead of RAM :-) I bet guys like you can do useful things with 12kb of zeros addressable linearly EDIT: Peter, if you ever decide to take another job in Hannover we would have quite an awesome team here Edited February 5, 2015 by Creature XL
Bryan
Well... there is a way to switch off the OS, but it involves taking the lid off the 800.
