+orpheuswaking
Sadly the 1027 print wheel is not something you can replace any longer. The rubber dry rots and falls apart. Brad at Best Electronics even had to ditch his remaining stock as they were worthless.

If you send me a pic of your Wheel and some dimensions I'll see what I can come up with. I could make it out of aluminum and knurl the top to act like rubber for grip. +orpheuswaking
I have long since stripped my 1027s for parts, all three print wheels crumbled to dust. Not sure if anyone out here has a good one.

If you come across one, or if someone on AtariAge has a good one. I would love to make a replica, unless most of the other internals are also failing due to material type/age. It makes me feel a bit sad when hardware stops working and cannot be fixed by any means.
+orpheuswaking
There have been several threads in the a8 forum about this, do a search there. The last one I had looked fine, But as soon as I tried to remove the head it disintegrated. As far as I know the rest of the internals work fine. If you are still looking, I just came across one virtually brand new in the factory box! Email me at mikedrecruiter@gmail.com if you are interested. ?
