i_am_kingjonny
I'm trying to remember the name of a game I used to love so that I might play it once again. Hoping of course that it hasn't been lost to history The machine I had was a 520STe (and I have no idea if it was available on the Amiga also) and I'll put below a description of the game, hopefully it'll jolt someone's memory! First off it was a 3D space flight sim in-cockpit view. You started on Mercury and progressed through the planets (then Venus, then Earth, then Mars etc) as you completed the levels. The aim was to destroy hostile (presumably alien) bases while being attacked by ships trying to shoot you. You could of course shoot the craft attacking you. The bases were basically large hexagonal prisms and the ships ranged from wedge shapes to flattened tetrahedrons and other 3D objects. Particularly remember the "Bull" which was 6 sided top and bottom with a flat top and bottom which didn't shoot, it just tried to ram into you and had loads of life making them terrifying to take on! Anyway, hopefully I've posted in the right place and I might get a reply or two. Thanks in advance guys! Jon

It was on the Atari 8-bit though. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-gyruss_s2362.html
Christos
It could be either Starglider (I or II) http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-st-starglider_11388.html Or maybe the last arcadian http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-st-last-arcadian-_10563.html If you can remember anything else it might be helpful. Edit: Seems like voyager fits the description better: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-st-voyager_10789.html Edited March 23, 2015 by Christos
