Intymike
Well, there are of course the "one of a kind" variations for the winners of the Christmas Carol Competition But I think its not senseful to count them. Speaking of Christmas Carol... do the first 20 Carols with clear shells count as a special version?
freewheel
That would prove to be an almost impossible task. I think it's practically the opposite. It should be almost trivial to work out the production numbers for almost every homebrew because the authors/publishers are a) still alive, b) still active in the community, and c) mostly hanging out here. Whether or not they WILL is of course another matter. Some seem to be inexplicably secretive. Like there's some big trade secret in how many copies you sell of to a collector community of homebrew for a 36 year old game console. So let's throw down the gauntlet: for games that are done selling, how many copies got sold? intvnut has already started with some numbers. How many Magic Carousel/Space Cunt got sold, rev? Or are those still in production?
+evg2000
CC first release had a bug, did they all get replaced or are some still in the wild?
