Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer Voltage Regulator and capacitor question

I wanted to add that the "different looking switches" are, in fact, different.

They are the spring loaded Select and Reset switches. All the rest are toggle switches without springs.

(Not to say that the ones pictured were not replaced, they could have been.)

 

Also I have taken the advice given to replace the voltage regulators when I have a system open.

Makes a lot of sense as they have been baking all these years, and if that fails everything else fails with it.

And I usually replace the 0.1uf or 0.22uf capacitor closest to the voltage regulator since I have had them as the problem of a snowy display output. Now they are white rectangle parts, replacing green chicklet-gum looking parts.
