odotb
Hi all,Ive recently spent my spare time recapping a bunch of old Game Gears. So far Ive had a 100% success rate, until today. As I was desoldering C5 from the power supply board, I accidently pulled the copper pad underneath the positive pin. So, I was wondering if somebody could tell me what pin I should connect the positive leg of C5 to, to make it work. I've had a look at the schematics and I cant quite figure it out. http://console5.com/techwiki/images/2/22/Game_Gear_VA0_Schematic_-_Power.png I have the European VA1 Twin ASIC 837-7996.Thanks! 7800fan
Looks like it goes to a junction from cathode of D2, C4 (non-polarized, connect to pin not connected to ground) or to pin 9 of connector that goes to mainboard
odotb
Thanks for your reply. I managed to fix the problem by connecting a wire from the positive pin of the cap to R7 on the board.
