HES Super Skateboardin' and Kung Fu Master

The NTSC counterparts in PAL lands are HES/Salu variations along with standard PAL. I believe all the Absolute and Activision third party ports can be found in HES and Salu varieties.

Coincidentally, both titles (1x Kung-Fu Master, 2x Super Skateboardin') are being sold by "General Zod", currently as you described, for $200+ on eBay for the NTSC versions.

There is one other copy of Super Skateboardin' being sold for just under $200.

Neither (NTSC) games are worth anywhere near there, IMHO. I wouldn't consider it "average going price"; rather, a very inflationary price. However, if someone is willing to pay such prices, have at it.

This NIB Super Skateboardin' which sold for $49.99 in April is more like it..

...As would be this NIB copy of Kung-Fu Master, which also sold just a few weeks ago in April, for $39.99:

$40 would be on the low end - $60 would be "average" from my perspective for NTSC.

If someone was desperate enough, I could see up to $80 for NIB and mint. That's where I would personally draw the line, if I wanted it that badly. It would be a very impatient and dumb move by me though.

$100+, and better yet $200+ for NTSC... :lolblue:

HES/Salu variations though...Absolutely, I can see that...Don't know if an "average" could even be determined, going on how rarely I've seen them made available for purchase.

If you're looking just for more info on the games overall in the way of manual, snap shots, etc...

Kung-Fu Master

Super Skateboardin'

On a scale of 'Excellent -- Good -- Fair -- Poor', both games to me rate as Fair.

If you say HES here, I take it both of them come in the plastic clamshell cases?

Correct. HES releases come in plastic clamshell cases with the instruction either on the inner slick or a separate paper.
Salu releases are in a cardboard box with separate instructions printed.

Heh, oh I know that (I own all but one of the 14 releases in question!), it was directed towards the OP ;)

Hi Guys

i own them all :)

Very cool, gents.

If one of you could please be so kind and clear something up for me then. I was under the impression that the variations - both HES and Salu were for all Absolute and Activision titles:

Absolute:
Baseball
F-18 Hornet
Kung-Fu Master
Super Skateboardin'
Title Match Pro Wrestling
Tomcat: The F-14 Fighter Simulator
Activision:
Double Dragon
Rampage
With only 14, I'm presuming one of the titles are excluded or/and perhaps one or more titles were HES or Salu only, as there are 8 titles listed above, and I thought therefore it meant a total of 16 available. Could a definitive list of what's available please be posted?

It's kinda offensive how much money people are throwing down on the krappiest 7800 licensed games just for the sake of collecting.

Spend that money on home brews and home brew projects instead!

I kinda liked Kung Fu Master. I thought it was a fun arcade port. Although, I thought Super Skateboardin' was pretty lousy.
