SDX create Disk image from PC

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Today I've reworked the build process for my Action! project, so it can output multiple ROM/XEX targets. CAR, DOS25 and MYDOS are already in there and now I'd like to include SDX also.

What's is the best way to create valid SDX disk images with contents from PC folder? hias' DIR2ATR' can only handle DOS25 and MyDOS :-/

Yes, Altirra does a nice job for this. You can use File --> Disk Drives to create an .atr image in SpartaDOS format, of the desired capacity, and save it. Then you can use Tools --> Disk Explorer to open the image and then drag and drop files or folders onto it.

Thanks, that works fine for a start. But I really need a command line version for that. Will contact hias & Avery.

Does Franny do SpartaDos.??

Old and I only used it for awhile and don't remember.

Yes, it does and I forgot about that linux (Windows too?) utility.

I wish it was easier to use though.

One step filling of an ATR like Hias' dir2atr would be great.

Cool. I didn't know these tools by bob_er.

I've build a Windows version using cygwin.

Adapted the makefile in one location to "g++ -s -static -L/lib -o $@ $^".

Let's see if it will work out.
