Omega-TI
The subject has come up from time to time on an alternative for the NANO-PEB, what do you think of this one... If all you wanted was the 32K, floppy drive controller and an RS-232 port it could be made on an even smaller PCB. It could even be designed to fit into an EZ-135 case. There *IS* room behind the disk drive section and where the connections on the rear go. One could have a cable going from the TI to the EZ-135 case, the other connector on the back of the EZ-135 would be the RS-232. The end user could mount a Lotharek HxC in there and that would act like two drives. It would be small, functional, good looking and all the components would be enclosed. Would it cost more than a NANO-PEB, yes. Would it cost less than a full-blown P-Box. Yes. Would it make a nice project or a great system for those limited on space or those wanting a portable system? I think so? Comments?
