Xenophon
I recently spotted some V9958 homebrew boards with schematics etc, may be of interest to anyone thinking of building their own video board ? http://primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/projects/mtxplus/video/mtxplus_vdp_design.htm Also spotted a V9958 adaptor for breadboarding. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7nZwsJMT9pk/VBSuxsyMteI/AAAAAAAAA0Y/xBJ-I-nRjqc/s1600/6809io.png
RXB
When I had my TIM card on the TI99/4A I totally loved it!
CantStopClicking
Looks very intriguing. Can 9958's still be sourced somewhere??? Not that I have any skills nor time but I figured it was as rare as hen's teeth and never even bothered investigating any further. Slightly off-topic... I know this has been brought up before and it's not mean to fan the flame but, damn I wish I had a F18A type replacement for the Geneve. Trying to hook the Geneve up to a 21st century monitor is a real bitch! I've got a solution but it ain't pretty (no pun intended - it really isn't pretty). Thanks for sharing regardless! -Dano
atrax27407
Both v9938s and v9958s can be found on eBay.

Xenophon
I've spotted lots of people doing interesting things with V9938/V9958 VDPs on the MSX forum, especially using dual VDPs superimposed on one another giving some superb results. http://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/development/superimpose-vdp-under-video-its-possible. http://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/hardware/dual-v9958-board. A dual VDP board for a Ti (TMS99xx) system would be cool... !
timofonic
I see the schematics aren't complete, not all KiCad project files are available :/
