NIB Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer Question

Heavy Sixers are heavy.

Much more case plastic and thicker, heavier aluminum motherboard shielding.

The suggestion of weighing is good suggestion.

Look at the second post, near the bottom, under "Other Units."

Based on the similarities in serial number with the first two listed in that section, I think it's likely that you have a Dimerco Taiwanese Heavy Sixer.

One pound and a couple ounces is more than enough to detect the console when weighing the box. The foam inserts and paperwork probably don't weigh much. We need to know exactly how much a CIB weighs for both models though.

That's why I suggested weighing both. You have to take into account the game, power supply, and controllers. Unless someone wants to just weigh items that come in the box separately and just add them together to come up with an approximate weight.

My "light sixer" (serial number: 81367396, made by Dimerco Electronics in Taiwan) weighs 3 lbs., 8.9 oz. (3.56 lbs.) That's with the RF cable included (since it isn't removable without taking the Atari apart). It is also missing 3 screws, and the front left corner of the case bottom is broken off, so it would probably weigh 3 lbs., 9 oz. normally.

Sorry, it's a light sixer that you have...you can tell by the Made In Taiwan on the bottom right corner.
