Grover Torbel
May be old news, but I had to post. This was reported in the Kevin Savetz book "Terrible Nerd", but I had been unable to duplicate it using an emulator. MIST allowed it to work. Steps to duplicate: 1. Run Atari 800 on MIST with CPU at 2x 2. Load Jumpman 3. Wait for Jumpman to die on demo This proves that the demo is simulated gameplay and not just a "movie". Tempest
So what happens next? Does the game freak out?
Grover Torbel
Yes, sort of. The demo never goes back to the title screen, but you can still start and play the game normally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Grover Torbel
By the way, I apologize for the multiple posts. I'm using tapatalk on an iPhone and it sort of freaked out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tempest
Yeah I figured something like that happened. No problem.
Grover Torbel
In case I didn't say it before, the MIST FPGA is AWESOME! I think it is the best classic gaming/computer purchase I have ever made. Highly recommended to all if you have the means to purchase and the know-how to get it configured. Tempest
Man, I've got to play Jumpman again. Of course I also need to remember the pattern to Figurit.

Bryan
The easiest way to make an attract sequence is simply to feed fake joystick input into the game engine. The arcade version of Galaga has a bug where you can take partial control of the attract mode.

playermissile
I want an editor, so badly....badly enough that I might jump in to do it. Adding a level editor to Omnivore is on my to-do list, but I'd also be happy for someone else to take that task! Admittedly, it is a big task.
