Hi,

I read up on a lot of sites about it... But I really don't understand what it exactly what it is. Is it a handheld or a home counsel?

It this new NX thing going to send Nintendo down the drain? I heard that the Wii U wont have any games for Zelda.. I also heard theres going to be a transfer of SSB4 is that true? So that more DLC can be added? Will there be like a 3DS cartridge slot thing and or Game CD slot?

Like I said I dont know much I dont think theres much to know about it yet. Sorry if these are too hard...

We're all kind of guessing right now.. but the last word from Nintendo about the Revolution is it is something to look forward to :)

"That is the big question. The console is codenamed Revolution for a reason: Nintendo expects it to be revolutionary. The system will, according to Nintendo, fundamentally change how games are played. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said in recent interviews that the dual-screened Nintendo DS offers a hint of what to expect from Revolution. DS players can use a stylus pen to input control data into the portable device. It's always possible that Revolution may feature similar functionality."

I assume you're joking about Revolution, which was the codename for Wii, right NE146?

Anyway, the best info we have about NX is that it may be a sort of dual-function system. In stand-alone mode it will be like a handheld gaming system, but when docked for play on the TV the games will be enhanced, presumably with things like better audio-visuals and local multiplayer.

I'm still thinking the NX will be unveiled at the next E3 with a possible release (at least for one version of the system) by holiday 2016. They'll need that time to start slowly phasing out both the 3DS and Wii U in a way so as not to piss off their most loyal customers.

Regardless, we just won't know how this will really take shape until Nintendo has an actual unveiling and puts forth their platform plan.

From what I have read, I thought the Legend of Zelda was delayed until 2016. There might be a chance that it also appears on the new console, similar to what happened until The Twilight Princess (which there are now rumors of an HD upgrade for the Wii U).

Some form of the NX might be ready for the holidays, but my guess is there could be one more holiday left for the Wii U to appease people.

I just got a Wii U recently, and could care or less when the NX thing is release. Between the virtual console, my backlog of PS3 and PS4 games, plenty to keep me busy.... There may be another Wii U in the house for the kids as they are all ga ga over SMB Maker.

I have two from a canceled book project. The second one goes mostly unused because there's no way to use the same account on more than one system like you can for all other non-Nintendo systems. So hopefully your kids won't mind starting over in all of their games on the second console.

My best guess is it will run on ARM architecture and be like a redesigned Wii-U gamepad tablet that plugs into a dock for HD gaming with friends or game on the go. Can use PRO controllers for multiplayer.

It will support 2DS backwards compatability but will not use a disc drive and will not play Wii-U games. PowerPC architecture is dead and x86 is too expensive and power hungry to run on batteries. Indies and mobile devs will love the ARM; AAA third party devs will scoff at it.

Nintendo claims that the NX will merge their portable and console product lines so NX will need a common arcitecture in order to do that.

Best taken with bucketloads of salt because my musings are positively unverifiable, but wait another year or so and we'll see how right I am, ha!

I have a feeling it may be the last console I ever buy at launch. Will NX be a runaway hit like Wii/DS or Nintendo's Dreamcast? Stay tuned to find out... :D
