reverendshoebox
Hey. Just dug up a box of educational software I got from the high school my Mom used to teach at a few decades ago (she managed to convince them to buy Atari computers!) All of them are in the boxes with instructions and such intact - it all looks pretty dry, but some of this stuff appears to also be rather rare. If there's any interest I'll happily rip these with my trusty FC5025 and make the disk images available. After I do that, some of the originals will probably be headed to eBay - I'm trying to downsize a bit and I can't see myself spending too much time with these. GeoHolub
I'm interest in the disk images. I have some of these (most of AEC and PDI disks), but not others. Several of these seem to be on Atarimania's "missing" list. Much appreciated.
reverendshoebox
Cool, I'll try to get 'em up this week. How's Atarimania work with regards to those kinda things? Can I register an account and upload the missing stuff? -='Box=-
GeoHolub
After you sign up for Atarimania, get into the "Forum", particularly the "MIA" thread. Atari Frog is the moderator and will verify which titles they are missing. There are "wanted" software lists, but these are old (2004 I believe). I've communicated with Atari Frog myself. He has been helpful, but sometimes very busy so it might take some time for him to get back to you.
+orpheuswaking
You may also want to talk to Farb, he's trying to preserve stuff using kryoflux.
Farb
Yes, I'd be happy to dump them if you're interested. I use both Kryoflux and SuperCard Pro which preserves copy protection as well.
ClausB
Please do dump them. I'm especially interested in those from PDI since I worked there.
charliecron
Pretty sure I dumped the PDI titles VocAB 1&2, and Analogies.. Charlie
Fletch
I have these that are showing as missing on Atarimania. Are these archived elsewhere or should I attempt to do it?
reverendshoebox
Sorry for the delay on this - I haven't forgotten, I'll get these dumped as soon as I can, and I'll have a lot of the originals up on eBay soon after. On a related note, I also dug up "Snooper Troops." Ye gods, I loved that game. -=ShoEboX=-
reverendshoebox
Alrighty, people. Here's a zip of everything I've got so far - some of the other disks didn't dump properly through the FC5025 so I'll have to give it a try with my SIO2PC. -=ShoEboX=-
reverendshoebox
Okay, guys, using the SIO2PC I was able to copy everything I couldn't get with the FC5025, so here's a zip of the entire collection. Some of these are really neat, but lots of them are dry, dry, DRY. I think the initial gee-whiz factor of "I'm doing stuff on a COMPUTER!" was probably the only thing that made a lot of these things "games." I'll also be listing this whole lot on eBay very shortly in case you guys would rather have the real thing - my seller page is here. (Assuming it's cool to post links to auctions and such here? If not, please let me know and I'll take it down.) -=ShoEboX=-
Farb
Thanks, reverendshoebox. cas.JPGI have these that are showing as missing on Atarimania. Are these archived elsewhere or should I attempt to do it? @Fletch, if you have the means to create WAV files from those cassettes, that would be great. If you PM me an e-mail address I can give you access to our upload area so we can convert them into valid CAS files for the preservation project. reverendshoebox
Hey, guys. I've listed the real things on eBay. Got a few other Atari items up too. Got a Christmas to pay for. My seller page is here. Thanks! -='Box=-
