Brik for the Atari 2600 is a similar game to Arkanoid like the post above mentioned. 2.) Homebrew Atari 2600 games now are able to use special chip if needed and the rom size of a homebrew Atari 2600 game cartridge can be as big as 64k currently unlike in 2002. 3.) Homebrew Atari 2600 have went a long a way since 2002. Princess Rescue and Zippy the Porcupine was released in 2014 and 2015 in the Atariage store as scrolling platform games for the Atari 2600.
