zambo*2600 Posted April 10, 2016 Share Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) Hi i just recently picked up a atari 7800 from ebay the seller listed it as working but he said there was problem with controller port1 when you turn on the console and play astroids the ship continues turn around. I allso got ikari warriors when i put this game on player1 goes to the left all the time but player2/controllerport2 works great.Two caps were bulgeing one at the front and one next to the cartridge slot.I have replacent these and still the same.I think it could be controller port1 can any help me please:-( Edited April 10, 2016 by zambo*2600 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

+-^CrossBow^- Posted April 10, 2016 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Check with a multimeter and compare the pins on controller port 1 as they are with controller port 2 to make sure you don't have any shorts there. I had a 7800 that I thought was working 100% but found out that controller port 2 had a tendency to go in its own direction and found that the Atarivox didn't work on it. Discovered it was a bad RIOT chip in my 7800 causing these issues. So that might be something to look at as well. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
