retrorussell
I was just curious if anyone had any thoughts on trying to program a homebrew of TANK. This was released in 1974 by Kee Games for Atari. This was the original tank VS. game. It was in black and white, designed for 2-player simultaneous play. Here's video of it: Note that there are small black X's that act as mines when run over, giving a point to the opponent. Also note that the numbers for the score are much thinner than what an Atari-made game for the 2600 would normally have. Anyone familiar with this game, and maybe how long an internal timer you have before the game ends and the player with the higher score is the winner? Or anything else technical/gameplay about it? Can this be easily made as a (close as we can currently get it) fairly faithful emulation? I ask because it is not emulated in MAME (though there are NOT WORKING roms) or DICE, or any other emulator. And it is the next scheduled game in my 20 From the 1970s YouTube video series, which I'm having to postpone. There is a TELSTAR COLECO COMBAT game.. can that be remade as close to the original TANK as possible, through Batari Basic? What do you guys think?
