Hi guys. My lynx is acting goofy. The screen randomly cuts in and out. I looked inside, and didn't see anything wrong with it. (also, is it supposed to make a pop pop noise when I turn it on?)

The pop sound is quite normal, if I'm playing with headphones I leave them off before I turn it on, hurts the ears else.

As for the screen cutting in and out I'm not sure what that is.

What do you mean by 'cuts in and out' - do you mean the display is perfect, then the screen goes black, then perfect for a second or two, then black? I am wondering if there's bad connection on the LCD ribbon, or a dry solder joint, bad capacitor, or maybe even the back light lamp is on its last legs.

Yes, the screen goes black, then is good, then flashes on and off every millisecond for a couple seconds. Mainly when I push right and/or up on the d-pad (joypad according to Atari as to not infringe on Nintendo's patent)
