Arnuphis
So I was playing the AD&D Pool of Radiance from D64 on my C128 earlier. Game was working fine but when I entered a round of combat, none of the monsters or player characters are visible. The scenery is fine and the combat works(you see arrows and missiles fllying) you just can't see anyone. Has anyone come across this? I did upgrade the video ram so I am wondering if that may have something to do with it. Incidently Curse of the Azure bonds does the same thing. Strange huh? 7800fan
Some C64 games don't play right in 128 mode, make sure you are in C64 mode by having C= down when powering up your 128.
Arnuphis
Thanks for the response. I used Go64 to return to C64 mode prior to playing them.
carlsson
See if you can find other versions of the same games. I suppose it shouldn't be a PAL/NTSC issue, but you can never be sure. Have you tried the same D64 in emulation and it works properly in various setups?
Arnuphis
I'll have to try the image on VICE and see.
Arnuphis
I have the original disks so I plugged in my 1541 and gave it a go and all works fine. I guess I need to track down some better D64 images. Thanks for the help everyone.
