I believe it was found that if you use the Seagull 78 adapter and the Sega Rapid Fire adapter intandem on the 7800, it allows use of both buttons on a sms pad.

 

For the record, Grips03 also makes Sega Genesis to 7800 adapter cables.

I'm neutral to this because I believe the Genesis pads are better but I can appreciate added choice. Now Grips, if you were to make Atari Jaguar*-to-5200 adapter cables, I think you'd hit the jackpot. Lots of 5200 owners would like to be able to use JagPads with the 5200.
