KWKBOX
Good ole Data East. Another gem from them. What is your favorite Data East game?
hwj_chim
Published by Data East so close enough. But Mega Turrican kicks ass.

Punisher5.0
I really liked this video. Thanks for sharing. It looks like it would be a fun game to play not sober.
+fdr4prez
We played that game quite a bit as a kid on my C64. I think I still have the game in a box, somewhere. I recall it wreaking havoc on my joysticks trying to start the fire and run faster than the saber-toothed tiger. I'd love to see a modern remake, but I think I'll look into getting the game working on C64 emulator on my RetroPie.

I would have to say the next time I ever touch this game I will make sure nobody is sober.
carlsson
And I thought it was bad enough that in Blood 'n Guts on the C64, you got to throw a cat.
high voltage
Wasn't that a Swedish developer?
carlsson
Indeed, developed by Greve Graphics and published by American Action (also based in Sweden, despite its name)
BassGuitari
It's not Caveman Games/Ugh-Limpics, but I thought it was kind of fun throwing monkeys and stuff around in Bible Adventures. Of course, that was about the only fun thing about Bible Adventures.
Jeremy Popp
Good ole Data East. Another gem from them. What is your favorite Data East game? Caveman games gets a lot of hate, but honestly if you read the manual, you can have a lot of fun. For the woman toss, you need to time your rotation with what's on the screen and not "as fast as possible". Glad you figured out the fire starting, as kids we could start a fire in under 1 minute without a turbo controller. We owned it and actually had a lot of fun. All your frustrations would have been solved with the instruction manual, but maybe that doesn't make for as good of a video?

keepdreamin
Windjammers/Flying Power Disc is by far the best game they created.
carlsson
A few years ago, I pondered developing a crap game "Sumo Bowling" which would feature sumo wrestlers that you push out of the ring onto a bowling lane, trying to knock out as many pins as possible. Perhaps I should return to that idea, but replace sumo wrestlers with agitated ladies, a.k.a. cat fighting.
