Atari 7800 value question

Hey all looking for advice.

I've a early at84 with expansion port. I'm considering selling and trying to figure its value.

Things I've replaced... Mje210, 7805, difficulty/Chanel switchs, power/reset/pause/select buttons, top case label, the 2 220 uf 16 volt caps, the 1 2200uf 16 volt cap, and the 4 683k 100 volt Mylar film caps. The pcb is fully socketed. Included are some pics. Thanks for advice

I don't think the work counts for much (though if by "top case label" you mean it has a new metal faceplate, that's nice) since the 7800 is such a reliable and plentiful system. It's not like a Turbo Duo or a Game Gear where a recap is almost a matter of time.

With a controller and a ps I'd say it's 50-60 bucks.

If I wanted to sell it fast, I'd price it about $50 with power and controller. To get more, be prepared to demonstrate and refund if problems, maybe $100. For top dollar maybe $150+, be ready to show evidence of improvements, demonstrate, and find multiple potential buyers, and be willing to talk to several people who won't buy it.

I'd totally keep it if it was mine, with all that work you know it's a solid system! Get some homebrews and a comfortable controller, you'll be playing for a long time.

I agree. I'm going to keep it. Now I need to decide what a/v mod to do. I've done best electronics mods on my other 11 7800's. Thinking of trying a different one this time. Just added a green led and it looks awesome !
