Gameport pad work with Win 10?

It likely depends on two main things:

  • If W10 has a built in driver for the game pad. Since this is obviously an ancient game pad, I think it is likely a foregone conclusion that the manufacturer has not released specific W10 drivers for it.
  • If there is a W10 driver (either built in or available from manufacturer) for the USB/game port adapter.

I'm not sure if MS is still doing the HWCL for W10 like it always used to do. HWCL = hardware compatibility list. Either way, if you dig around with some Google Foo, you should hopefully be able to get those two questions answered.

Can't get a game port card? Surely someone makes one that fits 1x PCIe slot?

Pretty sure most USB game port adapter works if it's a basic HID and not something fancy. Standard game pad had 4 analog directions (x and Y for player 1 and 2) and 4 buttons. Many of the later controller used all 4 buttons for one player (and sometimes the second X and Y for few extra buttons or hat or other feature)
