Tandy 1000TX floppy emulator question

Just getting back to this Tandy 1000TX project I picked up a while back.

 

I'd like to install a USB floppy emulator. Before I start, has anyone here done this with a 1000TX?

It can work and others elsewhere have used a Gotek with a TX with good results :

One thing you must do is to create an untwisted floppy cable with the holes punched through the appropriate wires :
