Minor problem with the Magnavox Odyssey 500.

I just recently got a Magnavox Odyssey 500 system the other day. It's in great cosmetic condition, powers on with no issues, the potentiometers work smooth, and all the buttons work and etc. But there is one issue. When you control the blue player and knock the ball out of the screen in the orange player's territory the score doesn't tally for blue and doesn't auto serve the ball back. But when an orange player knocks the ball out in the blue player's territory the score tallies and the ball auto serves. If anyone can figure out the minor issue, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
