Sinphaltimus
You could plug one almost directly into the UberGROM. Wire the buttons to short ground to the GPIO pins (gives you all 4 buttons), and wire the analog joystick pins up to the ADC pins (gives you all four axes). Basically the exact circuit shown on that page. On the software side, configure the GPIO to enable the pull-ups, and map the GPIO and all four ADCs to separate slots in GROMCFG. Then just read the GPIO and ADC ports at will. Downside, of course, only works with software designed that way, but if you wanted to drop a PC game port on your cartridge, all the parts are there. You lost me at UberGROM. LOL

Sinphaltimus
Also, speaking of TI Christmas. I had a link to a place to purchase the TI USB keyboard adaptor for around $40 and now I can't find it. Does anyone have a source?USB [prefered but PS2 is also acceptable. Message Thread HERE Matt's site HERE This is a great mod the only tricky part is soldering the ribbon cable to the keyboard.. The entire project is open source so you can make pcbs or order them from osh. I just built another this weekend for my Geneve. Omega-TI
I tried to complete an easy project today that I thought would be quick, but it's taking longer than expected, because with the lower temperatures, the paint is taking much too long to dry properly, so my color coordinated case for the "Plug-N-Play 32K" might not be dry enough to apply clear coat until tomorrow. I will tell you this though... A CASSETTE CASE WORKS QUITE WELL FOR MATT'S LITTLE DEVICE. Pictures will follow when completed.

Omega-TI
Well, it did not turn out as well as I had hoped, but it will have to do until either a 3D printed case is designed and marketed by someone or until spring arrives with warmer temperatures...
+save2600
Looks really nice! What did you end up using as a case?
Omega-TI
Looks really nice! What did you end up using as a case? I used this cassette case... ... cut the little do-hickeys off... ... then painted it with black & silver paint before clear coating it.
+jedimatt42
You'll have to blog this up... how you secured the board to the case, etc... sounds like a nice, in-expensive option. -M@
Omega-TI
You'll have to blog this up... Really, I didn't think this was worthy of it's own entry. It's basically just an interference fit, held into place by the door. Due to the connector, the halves have to be assembled after it's inserted into the half that holds it. No screws necessary. Omega-TI
I was so happy to see this pin offered for sale... .. so I decided to pull the trigger and buy it... but when I saw this... ... I had to change my mind. I'm sorry, I like the pin, but the shipping for such a tiny item seems out of line. I regretfully am passing on this.

Asmusr
I'm working on something, but I won't promise it will be finished before Christmas. It requires 128K AMS memory to run, therefore the title. As you can see from the video all monsters are currently harmless.
