Albert
I have several "broken" 5200 controllers. It's about time to get some parts to fix them, as well as convert one of them to a paddle controller. One of those pages mentions playing Kaboom! with the TrakBall. I can't even imagine how well that would work when the gameplay starts to get incredibly fast and you need to have lightning fast reflexes to stay alive (my guess: It doesn't!) How many games are well-suited for a paddle controller? Just Super Breakout and Kaboom? ..Al
MrRetroGamer
I've seen another guy modify the paddle even further and add a button to be used as the high/low gear shift for playing pole position. I guess he just wired in a button to the up/down pot for this?

Skatepunk60
HA!!! 65 dollars for a built paddle controller , screw that. Someone else should try to make these things for cheaper.
RCorcoran
GAMES THAT WORK BEST WITH THE 5200 PADDLE: GORF KABOOM MOON PATROL SUPER-BREAKOUT GAMES THAT WORK GREAT, BUT ARE TRICKY: DECATHLON TRACK AND FIELD (prototype) GAMES YOU’D THINK WOULD WORK BETTER WITH A PADDLE, BUT DON'T... AE (prototype) BEAMRIDER (really, really bad) GYRUSS (works ok, but the control is weird, This information gleened from Charles Guinn's site.
