Heavy sixer has wrong colors when I start it

I have a heavy sixer that had an issue where some colors would change. For example, when playing Missile Command, on the stage with the red ground, it would slowly change back and forth between red and light pink. I had already replaced the 7805 regulator, and it's outputting a rock-steady 5.02 VDC. I recently read a thread on this forum where someone fixed the same problem by replacing the TIA chip. I have 5 other Atari 2600s, so I could have replaced the chip in mine, but I wanted to try just reseating it first (I also reseated the other two socketed chips [RIOT and 6507]). That fixed the problem, for now at least.

For one thing it's a pain to get the motherboard out of the top of the console without breaking a switch and the color pot is on the little board in the metal shielding box not easy to get to.

There's actually a hole in the top of the shield so you can get at the color pot. All you need to do is get the top of the console off and that's all.
