FlappyBird test

@Tonma, are you planning a more formal release? Or is there a way to tip you for your work on this?

I start a new game. All tips will be welcome

My son and I played Flappy Bird tonight. He had one question, Can you unlock skins. What is it with kids and unlocking nonsense that has no effect on the game!

No other skins. It would only make sense if I could have different gameplay.

Mobile phones have ruined everything I tell you! EVERYTHING! :)

You're incredibly right :-D

Unfortrunately I must agree on this.

Building relationships "swipe left, swipe left, swipe left..."

Concentration on the task at hand is restricted to the max time you can be separated from your dearest "friends". The time is calculated in seconds, not hours.

"Friends" equals getting quick kicks of "likes" you get to your selfies or comments on social network.

"Happiness" is the number of "likes" per hour.

But there may be a cure... Which one do you choose?

The red pill or the blue pill?

Man, this game is hard. I was playing it for half an hour last night, and I made it past maybe four pipes once! :(

The trick is to concentrate on the lower pipe only. I have played every cart before shipping to at least 12 points. Some carts up to 31 points in the first go

33 is my best, although several times I've reached 33, got overly excited and stuffed it up! Just can't get past it now!

This sort of game is perfect for the Lynx, just pick up and play. Great work tomna.

Yep, the classic "yips". You're basically cruising along like a boss, then you become aware you're about to best your record, and involuntary twitch right into a pipe.

Got my replacement cart today. This one works but I was scared it might not. The envelope was all torn and the cart exposed! Thanks again for sending the replacement.

I recieved mine as well (I think it came in Tuesday or Wednesday?) and the corners were poking through the envelope. You might want to at least fold it over in a sheet of sturdy paper if you're going to ship in envelopes. There is a black scuff mark on the corner edge of the cart where exposed through the envelope, but the replacement cart works fine, even if slightly difficult to insert on a Lynx I. It seems the audio has more channels too compared to the ROM demo. ;-)

2 hours remaining upload. Goodnight y'all:

FYI, I actually got it last week, just haven't made video yet until now.

What the fudge! You didn't flip the screen and had the buttons at the bottom. Nooooooo! Don't tell me you play Klax and Gauntlet the same way. ?

Many thanks for the replacement carts Karri; they both work fine :) And thank you for your nice message about my guitar music! By the way you can 'like' my Facebook page here www.facebook.com/ceverettguitar

As soon as I have found the dead cart I will post it back to you :)

I will drop by on your page.

In card games the mood-music in your "Realisationalism & Conceptuability" would be really nice to have. Would it be possible to use part of that theme as a background?

String instruments work very well on the Lynx. Many years ago I also coded a Finnish kantele tune that my daughter was playing in her music school to one of my first games. A 1024 byte BLL game called Ottelo. It is a classic Othello clone. Listen to it and see if you can beat a Lynx intelligence of just a few bytes ;)

I am currently updating the Solitaire 25 year Lynx anniversary release with better music and perhaps also with some new games.

Hi Karri,

Yes, I'll send the track through to you, use whatever you like from it. That's quite an exciting prospect to have my music feature on a lynx game!

Thank you for the file; I'll download it soon and try it on the SainT cart. :)

Thank you. I will try to be true to the original. But as I need one channel for sound effects it will be only 3 strings active at a time. Chipper has much more control over the sound than my abcmusic in the ottelo2 example.
