WAVE 1 GAMES
Hello all. I just bought a 4K TV for my gaming setup and while hooking everything up I noticed one small detail as I was checking each console out on the new TV. This TV appears to HATE my 7800. It works through the Jaguar RF switch hooked into the antenna port just like on my last TV, however there is a LOT of static and snow in the picture. I tried messing with it and changing the channel switch on the console, NOTHING! It just does not work right with this TV. Now I have an extra composite port on this one and I have heard tales of 7800 consoles getting modded to wire in this way. I would be willing to pay for somebody who has experience doing this type of mod. If anyone here has the time/skills to do this please send me a PM or if anyone here knows an easier way to achieve this goal without actually doing the mod, please feel free to share. If this is a duplicate topic I apologize, I don't come around the 7800 parts much I'm usually seen lurking around the Jaguar threads. If anybody has experience with this I would greatly appreciate any info that you are able to share. Thanks in advance AtariAge!
Trebor
ElectronicSentimentalities Joe does a great job. Confirmed by several, including myself; highly recommended. Also, it's advisable to select "Add TIA 9 switch" option. Turn off TIA 9 to block possible video interference issues when playing 7800 games to ensure cleanest picture possible. Turn on TIA 9 when running a 2600 game, if the game appears in black and white only.
Everett1954
Agree Joe does great work, if you are handy with a soldering iron and drilling your case you can buy the kit from him also.
