SoundGammon
New 2600 game idea! For those programmers looking to code a new game! Bubble Bug You're a bug trapped under the ice and your main objective is to try to stay alive by catching a ride on the slowly rising air bubbles to keep breathing, while avoiding the hungry fish that are looking for a meal! If your bubble that your riding on reaches the top , it will dissipate and you will start again at the bottom. If a fish swims by close to your bubble he will bite at it in an attempt to get you. The first bite destroys the bubble and a second bite is you! When the bubble breaks, you must get away fast and find a another bubble to stay alive. The oxygen meter at the top of the screen goes down when quickly when your swimming about. Also there are different size air bubbles that move at different speeds. Small ones are faster but tend to drift with the current and can move you to a nearby fish! Bigger bubbles are slower but generally go straight up the screen. The fire button is used any time to get out of a bubble that might be leading to danger. It's also used to get into a bubble! Scoring: 1 point for riding a small bubble to the surface 2 points for riding a medium bubble to the surface 3 points for riding a large bubble to the surface. If you ride different sized bubbles on your journey to the top, you will score the smallest size score! Two player option would be to "steal" the other bugs bubble and force the other bug to start over at the bottom. Game over when you lose your 3 lives or using the old Atari 2600 standard of time limit of 2 minutes and 16 seconds.

SoundGammon
True, game programmers and game designers are 2 different people, in the early days they were one and the same which explains why the crash of 1984 came about! Here's how junk games came out: Company: "Can you program?" Programmer: "Yes" Company: "Ok, put something, anything, on the screen that can be moved around with a joystick!" Programmer: "Ok." Designer: "Don't you want a concept behind that?" Company: "No, people will buy it anyway!" In comes Crash of 1984!
