Prosystem emu popping

What version of the emu? What version of o/s? Sound processor..?

I was just playing with the latest release in Win 10 last night, and works great for me, no issues with sound...

It's v1.3 which I believe is the latest? Windows 7, Realtek ALC889A

I went to check the sound and realized I just had generic windows drivers installed for the sound. I updated to the latest official drivers but it didn't make any difference.

Try changing the sample rate...Options/ Sound/ Sample Rate...I usually toggle between 44000 and 48000 when the sound start "acting up"

Nope, doesn't make a difference. And this isn't popping during the playing of a game. The game sound is fine. This is popping when doing anything with the program itself. Moving the program window, accessing the menu etcetera. Whether a ROM is loaded or not.

I just loaded the emu and changed my sound to my built in realtek sound and got no popping sound when no rom was loaded..but when I loaded a rom I got the popping sound....have no idea what is causing it

I'm not at my PC nor am I likely to be able to get my sound specs any time soon but I can say that I get the same issue with my onboard sound. When clicking through menus the audio pops and just having Prosystem open degrades the audio quality of everything on the computer. Muting all audio within the emulator fixes the issue, changing the latency or frequency doesn't. I remember having a similar issue with Elite Dangerous that was a known problem when the sample frequency wasn't set to 44khz in Windows.
