Lynx I thumb button

i didn't know that there were two kinds of thumb button for the Lynx I

 

What could you tell me about that?

That's more or less all there is to know. One the cross part of the pad is separate, the other, it's attached to the plastic circle around it. I own models with both, and there's not a huge different in terms of play, though I slightly prefer the separate one (the top in your pictures).

 

I can't remember if it's also related to the Lynx model with different colour buttons. Some Lynx 1's have grey buttons, matching the body. Others have black. Unfortunately my Lynxes are thousands of miles away so I can't check what the combinations are.

Pretty sure the 2nd pic was the first released version. That's what I had back in the day. The Lynx I have now is like the 1st pic.

i have the bottom one i never have liked it its slippery i had some 3m polymer grip tape on mine but i took it off cause it didn't help much

 

its just poor design similar to the genesis original controller which i also disliked
