Casey
One of the manuals on the whtech site for the 99/8 has a list of programs that don't work on it and mentions this: TE-II Text to Speech. (TE-III is on the way) Was Terminal Emulator III even written? Or just mentioned in passing in this document? Anyone ever see it? And with that - are there others that were programmed but not released? Disk Manager 3 comes to mind but we know it was completed, just not released. +Ksarul
There are actually quite a few Disk Manager III cartridges out there, as they were included with two different pieces of hardware in development: the DSDD Controller card for the PEB and the Hex-Bus Floppy. Interestingly enough, there are also at least two different starting screens for them, but the rest of the code is identical. The TE1200 cartridge was probably going to morph into the TE-III cartridge by the time it was released, as the TE1200 was part of the PEB SuperMODEM card project. There were a lot of unreleased cartridges that were pretty much ready to burn to GROM at the time TI withdrew from the market, mostly games. A lot of those were put into a collection of unreleased software (on disk) many years ago.

Casey
Thanks for this! This is good information. There are definitely some games I would have loved to have seen! (Joust and Mario Brothers come to mind.)
