tacrec Posted November 6, 2017 Author Share Posted November 6, 2017 Good game today! The Killbotz started off the 2nd quarter with a 13-7 lead. The Smash scored 13 points in the 2nd quarter to take a 20-13 lead at the half. The Killbotz tried to rally in the 4th quarter but came up short, losing 23-22. This win stops the Smash three game losing streak. Doesn't save their season, but the Killbotz loss makes the Action Network more interesting with four weeks left in the season. The Deadly Dogs kept fighting throughout the game, cutting the lead to 19-12 at the end of the third quarter. The Dogs were down by three with only a few minutes left, but couldn't get within field goal range. Armada wins 22-19 to stay one game out of first place in the Battle Network. The Laser Sharks scored three touchdowns in the 4th quarter, but their rally falls short and they lose 26-24. The top four teams in the Action Network keep shifting around! No clear winner yet. This loss snaps the Spartans six game winning streak. It's also the Spartans first home loss of the season. So the Armada and Destroyers are still very much alive in the hunt for the Battle Network title. There are four teams still in the race for the Action Network title. tacrec Posted November 10, 2017 Author Share Posted November 10, 2017 So here's the mess that is the championship race: The Spartans are in first place in the Battle Network. The Armada are a half game behind the Spartans. The Armada play the Bombers on Monday. If they win, they will be tied with the Spartans. The Spartans play the Armada on 11/21. But both teams have to play Action Network teams the week after that. Then there are the Destroyers, who will have to win their final three games to even have a hope of a tie for first place, and even then would need help from the Spartans and the Armada. The Beamriders currently have a half game lead over the Killbotz and Laser Sharks in the Action Network. The Mutants are in third place, one game back. The upcoming schedule is: 11/14 Mutants @ Laser Sharks 11/16 Beamriders @ Smash 11/20 Smash @ Mutants 11/22 Beamriders @ Killbotz So we'll see how all that plays out. Armada fall a game back of the Spartans, who they will face next week. Spartans could take the Battle Network title if they win that game. The Mutants, Killbotz and Beamriders are all tied for first place in the Action Network at 4-4, followed by the Laser Sharks at 4-5 and the Smash at 3-5. The Smash play the Mutants Monday and the Beamriders play the Killbotz on Wednesday. The way these teams are going, it's possible all five could be tied at 5-5 when the season ends! In the Battle Network, it's the Spartans in first place at 6-2, followed by the Armada at 5-3 and the Destroyers at 5-4. The Spartans battle the Armada on Tuesday. If the Spartans win, they clinch the Battle Network championship. If the Armada win, the teams will be in a first place tie heading into the final week of the season. Can the Armada repeat as Battle Network Champions? Who's going to emerge champion of the crowded Action Network? The league may be fantasy, but the drama is real! The Mutants then went on to score 13 points to lead 16-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Smash dominated the 4th quarter with a TD while shutting out the freaks for a 17-16 win! So the Action Network has two teams at 4-4 and three teams at 4-5! It's Beamriders at Killbotz on Wednesday to battle for first place heading into the final week!
