high voltage
Oh come on, I already posted that here yonks ago. It's an ad in German TeleMatch magazine. Issue 7 Dec 1983 Someone here thought NES was the first with an all in one, I had to put him straight. Video
I could have sworn there were TVs with pong units built in too. But Nintendo was likely the first many people saw.

Yes, the 1976 Magnavox Model 4305. There's a thread somewhere on Atariage about it.

Keatah
I understand that later in the development cycle, they decided to make this VCS and Intellivision compatible, and dropped the idea of doing their own "console". It's also amusing they say it could use Apple II, TI99/4A, and RadioShack peripherals.

In all seriousness, this idea is surprisingly common, and not just with video games, how many of us had or knew someone who had a T.V. with a VCR in it? I own a flat screen that has a built-in DVD player right now. I heard somewhere that there was even a T.V. with a CD-i in it!

+slx
Was never aware of that!!!! I went into a number of electronic stores as a kid and I never saw anything like that before in the UK. Seems to be a Finnish ad, maybe only sold locally... Philips offered a Videopac G7200 with a built-in b/w monitor, too.

Swami
Here's another 1. Are any of the all-in-one atari's battery operated? 2. The look of those paddles in this picture and the way they are holding them is disturbing to me.
