Anyone seen something like this before?

Has anyone seen something like this before? I was amazed when I received it (I didn't see pictures before buying and it came in a large order of about 15 boxed games). Never seen someone do this to a game box before. The printed out bits of paper are stuck on pretty well and I can't see what the original box may have been, though going by the game ID PA2035 indicates it's a Robo Squash box.

 

I'd like to remove all this stuff stuck to it but not sure how, steam maybe? Suggestions anyone?

Dont take it apart! Others may chime in, but this may be a pre production sample before more would be made. Definitely unique, and one I would keep. Very interesting.

The cart that came with it looks like any other standard cart though...

I've contacted the person I bought this from. Turns out he made the box, not a terrible job, but I think I will try and recovery the original box now that I know this. Still looking for ideas on what's the best way to remove the stuck on print outs...

That's an Atari thing. There are tons of boxes with different labels on them, and carts that got relabeled too. Heck, I remember the catalogs having reprinted pricing data in them. Their certainly more rare than actual production boxes, but I doubt their ultra rare.
