Omega-TI
While AtariAge has a lot of TI goodies, there is TI activity occurring on other websites around the world. Unfortunately, none of us can see or find it all. This thread is for YOU to post anything you come across that is interesting and that you feel others here might like or find interesting. To start this new thread off, I'm posting this link that may be of interest to TI Basic and Extended BASIC programmers. << CLICK HERE TO FOLLOW THE LINK >>
sometimes99er
So I read on, and follow the link, - and what do I get, something I've just read. Feeling I'm wasting time here.I copy "bytecellar", step one back, do a forum search, and sure enoughhttp://atariage.com/forums/topic/270629-i-typed-in-a-basic-program-from-a-35yo-magand-just-talked-to-its-author Edited October 8, 2017 by sometimes99er
Omega-TI
What the heck?! Sorry about that guys. A dupe is a lousy way to start what can be a useful thread.
+Vorticon
Well I never saw the initial post, so that worked for me I really enjoyed that read. On a side note, that guy used a pretty convoluted way to get the program to the TI with no less than 3 operating systems involved (Windows, AmigaOS and Linux) not counting the TI system itself!

Yes, I thought that too. The first part of the article seemed to be the guy explaining the Rube Goldberg contraption he has for entering programs on his TI. I came away thinking that it would have been much easier to have simply typed it in!
Omega-TI
I found an OBSOLETE page (last entry six years ago) about an OBSOLETE computer system (the TI-99/4A). << CLICK HERE >> I wonder how many other obsolete or abandoned TI-99/4A pages are out there? Some are good, some are fair and others... well...
majestyx
That page overstates that color capabilities by a factor of 16. And the picture with all the sidecars shows a TI-99/4. Plus most the comments show as being posted 11 years ago, even though the post itself is listed as having been posted in 2011. Certainly strange. Omega-TI
Yeah, I noticed that too. I was wondering if the author was writing about a machine he had no first-hand experience with. A link on the page does lead to a current AtariAge user though...

majestyx
Shout Factory recently added the early 80s show Starcade to their online streaming site. One of the prizes on many of the shows was a TI-99/4A Home Computer. They are still missing some episodes and they are not in true series order, but it is pretty cool to see this show in decent quality again.
