DirtyHairy
After little activity for a few months, 6502.ts has received a few small and one major upgrade: PCM audio support. This means that 6502.ts now fully supports DPC/DPC+ style music synthesis (Pitfall II, Stay Frosty 2) and playback of digitized samples (e.g. Quadrun). The new audio code ("PCM" audio driver) is now the default, but the old code is still available as an option ("Waveform" audio driver). There's more details on these two options on the emulator help page. The downside of the new PCM code is that it introduces a small lag of about 3 frames between audio and video and that it is more sensitive to timing glitches (resulting in popping and crackling artifacts). On my system (a 2017 macbook pro) Chrome, Safari and Firefox all work fine for "normal" (non-DPC+) cartridges. DPC+/ARM works fine with PCM audio as well in Safari and Chrome (I can play Stay Frosty 2 without any issues), but Firefox shows a tendency to lag a bit from time to time. Microsoft Edge is untested, but has been reported to work at least partially in the past. If you try the new version, feel free to post your own experiences here You can find the link to the current build in my signature.
